A Boy's-Eye View Of Swansea Folk
chapel, chums and chips
Lots of you will remember that John Griffiths came to the KMT last year in his solo show: Forty Years Gone: My Life In Parts. He now returns to the KMT where he made his professional debut in 1977 with a new piece: Chapel, Chums And Chips: A Boy's-Eye View Of Swansea Folk, which through story and song tells of childhood and adolescence in post-war Swansea. Along the way we'll meet a host of colourful characters, including three men called Dan: one, a builder who wrestled with God; one, a top tenor, aka Descant Dan; and another, his maternal grandfather, Daniel Griffiths whose moniker was Danny the Chips.
Bring your family memories and photographs to share with John after a nostalgic, hour-long stroll down Memory Lane, washed down with a cuppa and a Welsh cake.
